ISARA: The Chairman, Transition Committee of Remo North Local Local Government, Isara, Hon. Michael Abiodun Somoye, has flagged off decontamination exercise, in the local government area, as directed by the Ogun State Government, to decontaminate public places, as part of efforts to prevent the spread of Coronavirus disease, in the LG area.
. According to a press release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l magazine & www.startrendinternational.com by Akinyera B, Information Officer, Remo North LG., the decontamination exercise that took the team to Sapade, Ode roundabout Isara, and the palace of, Odemo of Isara, Oba Albert Abosede Mayungbe, would last for five days.
In his remarks at Sapade, Hon. Somoye made it known that the exercise would be carried out in public places, including the local government secretariat, .health centers, hospitals, petrol and gas stations, recreation centers, and other important places, scattered around the Local Government Area.
He, therefore, urged all the Health Officers that would be involved in the exercise to be diligent, in carrying out their duties, in order to achieve the desired goals.
Official team from the Ogun State Ministry of Environment, led by the Director of Administration and Supplies, Mrs. Onawoga and an Environmental Health Officer, Mrs. Omopeluola Sotonwa, jointly carried out and supervised the exercise, in collaboration with Remo North Local Government Environmental Health Officers.
Oba Abosede Mayungbe however appreciated both the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and the Local Government Chairman, Hon. Abiodun Somoye, for considering the exercise in Remo North Local Government, in particular, and the State, in general, by providing the necessary materials/tool, needed for the exercise .
The sensitive items provided included, motorized super sprayers, manual sprayers, chemicals, rubber boots, nose covers, amongst others.
Present at the exercise, were Hon. Solomon Oluwaseyi Osho, State Officials, all members of the Local Government Transition Committee, the HOLGA, Mrs. Bola Osin, both Health/Medical Personnel and Principal Officers in Remo North Local Government
