COVID-19: BOT Remembers Less-Privileged People, Distributes Relief Packages

OGUN WEST: The Group Managing Director Regency Alliance Insurance Plc., Barrister Biyi Otegbeye (BOT) has released 2,000 relief packages to the less privileged and the vulnerable in Ogun state.

The gesture, it was gathered by StarTrend Int’l magazine & www.startrendinternational.com, is being distributed through his foundation – Building Opportunities For Tomorrow (BOT), and it’s aimed at complementing government efforts to bring succour to the populace during the lockdown in Ogun State towards eliminating the spread of Coronavirus disease in the State and Nigeria.

According to Barr. Otegbeye, a distinguished Chartered Insurer, “It is pertinent at this time to remember the less-privileged in our midst who are expected to feel impact of the measure more; hence BOT resolved to support the government in its efforts to cushion the effects of the lockdown.”

BOT however advised members of the public to strictly abide by all government regulations towards containing the COVID-19.

He also urged that “people at this time wash their hands, wear face masks, maintain social distancing, constant cleaning of their environment and maintaining good hygiene to have a free Coronavirus State and Nation.”

Building Opportunities For Tomorrow (BOT), an NGO founded over a decade ago and being promoted by Biyi Otegbeye has been able to ameliorate sufferings of thousands of citizens of Ogun State and beyond in the core areas of health intervention, education, social supports and community services.

Barr. Biyi Otegbeye is the Group Managing Director, Regency Alliance Insurance Group, a  distinguished Chartered Insurer, Entrepreneur and a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

The Golden Son of Ogun West obtained his basic training from United Nigeria Insurance Company Limited (UNIC) where he worked extensively in Risk Management, General Underwriting, Claims, Reinsurance, Marine and Aviation Divisions.

He became the pioneer Managing Director of Regency Insurance Plc in 1993.

Following its merger with 3 other insurance companies in 2007, he was retained as the GMD of the group.

The Scion of Yewaland holds a B.Sc. Insurance and MBA Financial Management from the University of Lagos. He also holds LLB from Lagos State University. Mr. Otegbeye is an Associate, Chartered Insurance Institute, London.
