Clerics Advise Muslim Faithful To Spend For Dev Of Islam, Humanity As Ansar-Ud-Deen Society Holds Ramadan Lecture, Awards (+photos)

ILARO-YEWA – A call has gone to the Muslim faithful to always spend bountifully towards the propagation of Islam and development of humanity.

This advice was given by Alhaji Muibudeen Allinson, Chairman, Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADS), Ogun State Council on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at the 1444AH Ramadan Lecture/Award & N10m Fundraising Ceremony of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADS), Ilaro-Yewa branch, held at the playing ground of Ansar-Ud-Deen Model Academy, Opposite Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State.

Alhaji Allinson who is the Chairman, Eleshin Farms Ltd., stated that it’s good to spend part of whatever one is blessed with in the way of Allah, adding that “by doing this, God shall return whatever amount you spend in million folds.”

His words, “I’ve had series of experience and testimonies on how God pays back in million folds if you spend in His way.

“Hence I urged guests and the Muslim faithful to always spend part of God’s blessings to the glory of God.”

Alhaji Allinson who is also the Father of the Day at the event commended the organisers of the programme for a good job.

Speaking in the same vein, the ADS Chairman, Ilaro-Yewa branch, Chief Sebil Hamed urged Muslim faithful to assist in the development of Islam religion and humanity.

He was of the opinion that nobody who spend towards propagation of Islam will regret it.

Chief Hamed however congratulated the awardees for the honours given to them for their immense contribution to Islam and ADS, adding they shouldn’t relent in doing good in life.

In his speech at event, the Chairman of the Day, Alhaji (Chief) Abd’Waheed Oladeinde (Ejio) congratulated members of the ADS, Ilaro-Yewa branch on the occasion.

Alhaji Oladeinde thanked the organisers of the programme for appointing him as Chairman of the Day, with a view to further contribute to the development of Islam religion.

He was of the opinion that participating in religious activities is better than engaging in societal fantasy.

Ejio as he’s fondly called noted that as a staunch member of ADS he’s always ready to participate in the development of the association and Islamic religion.

Earlier in his sermon, Alhaji (Imam) Abd’Gafar Yekeen Otefila, the Missioner, Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADS), Joga-Orile branch, in Yewa North of Ogun State, advised the Muslim faithful to be patient whenever they’re faced with the reality of life.

Imam Otefila in his sermon, titled: “Leadership/Effect of Poverty: Islamic Perspective”, described poverty as cancerous, noting that it is not good for human beings to experience.

He noted that poverty is in various degrees which none of the degrees is good for humanity, saying Muslim faithful should not despair anytime he or she is confronted with this reality of life.

The Islamic scholar in his sermon told the story of an Alfa who was ejected from his rented house for being unable to pay his house rent, and he was given a quit notice.

Hear him, “Despite this Alfa explained his plight to the congregation severally, but none of them expressed their readiness to assist him until last day of the ultimatum given him about to expire, when he met a Beer Parlour owner who assisted him with some amount of money to pay the rent he owed.

“Unfortunately, as the Alfa returned home, the leadership of the mosque he was leading came to his house to drop keys of a new apartment they’ve secured for the Alfa and his family.”

Imam Otefila however advised that people should exercise patience anytime they were faced with poverty by not going extra miles looking for solution through wrong avenues.

He said God knows every situation anyone might be contending with, saying, “it’s only God that knows how and when He will solve the problem.”

The Islamic cleric urged the Muslim faithful to always adhere to the words of God and always exercise refrain from taking shortcut to success.

He thanked the organisers of the programme for inviting him to share his experience and knowledge with the guests.

While introducing awardees for the presentation of their plaques, the ADS Missioner, Ilaro-Yewa, Alhaji (Imam) Sheu Adegbite Badmus disclosed that the event was part of yearly activities of ADS, Ilaro-Yewa branch to educate and enlighten the Muslim faithful about Islam through the lecture; Conferment of Award of Excellence to members and non-members of ADS for their immense contribution to the development of Islam and humanity.

He noted that the fundraising aspect of the programme is to generate money for the development of ADS’s social responsibility and Islamic religion for the sake of humanity.

Imam Adegbite noted that the awardees were carefully selected and screen by a committee that is committed to transparency.

He later started to call the awardees for decoration by Alhaji Allinson, Chief Hamed, Alhaji Oladeinde, Alhaja Fausat Allinson (ADS Deputy National Chairperson) and Alhaja Anisat Bello (Chairperson of the Day.

The awardees include Alhaja Kafilat Adesanya, Mrs. Aminat Hamed, Alhaja Sikirat Abd-Rahamon Bolarinwa, Alhaji Ibrahim Lukman, Mrs. Salamot Faleye, Hadjia Fatimot A. Taiwo, Alhaji Daud Kayode Inuolaji, Alhaja Mutiat Oluwatoyin Raji and Chief Surakat AbdulRaheem Alamu.

Others are Alhaja Idayat Olatayo Siyanbola, Mr. Lateef Benson, Alhaji (Chief) Sauban Olalekan Sogbade, Mr. T. Ade Adebayo, Alhaja Aishat Popoola, Alhaji Soliu Adebayo Olaniyi, Alhaja Falilat Adenike Bamgbose and Mr. Yaqub Omidokun
