Baale Bisi Akinola, Respected Community Leader Goes Home Dec. 15

ILARO-YEWA – The final rites for the late Chief Julius Olubisi Akinola, the Baale of Ijado in Yewa South Local Government of Ogun State, will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, marking a farewell to a respected community leader.

The ceremonies will commence on Thursday, December 14, 2023 between 9am and 11am with a Lying-in-State at the Recreation Club, Ilaro Hall, Opposite Yewa South Local Government Secretariat, Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State. This allows members of the club, where he once presided as President, to pay their respects.

Thereafter, a Christian wake-keep will be held at his residence on Dr. Tunji Otegbeye Street, Off Musa Street, Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State, starting at 5pm on the same day.

On Friday, December 15, 2023, the Burial Service will commence at 10am at the Christ Bethel Church, Empire Field, Ilaro-Yewa.

Entertainment of guests follows after interment at the Recreation Club, Ilaro Sports Ground.

Baale Julius Olubisi Akinola, who once chaired all Baales in Yewa South LG, passed away on November 17, 2023, at the age of 65.

He was known for his diligent service as a renowned Surveyor, characterized by a strong sense of duty and reverence to God.

Baale Akinola will be remembered for his amiable and vibrant nature, leaving an indelible mark wherever he went. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
