ABEOKUTA – The immediate past governor of Ogun State and Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial district, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, and other party stalwarts on Friday, January 7, 2022 in Abeokuta received in audience members of All Progressives Congress (APC) National Reconciliation Committee under the chairmanship of Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
The committee, which was set up by the Governor Mai Mala Buni-led APC Caretaker and Extra Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), was in Abeokuta to discuss avenues of reconciliation and progress within Ogun State APC.
Apart from Senator Ibikunle Amosun, the two other senators representing Ogun West and Ogun East senatorial districts, Senator Tolu Odebiyi and Senator Lekan Mustapha respectively, were on ground to receive the committee, an added advantage that all the three Ogun State senators met with the committee in which Senator Adamu expressed appreciation.
Party executives at the meeting included Chief Derin Adebiyi, Chief Jide Ojuko, Hon. Toyin Ayebusiwa, Alhaji Moshood Akinyele, Alhaji Bashiru Fadairo and Hon. Patrick Ogunde. Others were Hon. Gbenga Adenmosun, Chief Wole Elegbede, Mr. Femi Onakoya, Mr. Yomi Omoyinmi, Chief Wole Adesiji, Comrade Clement Olusegun, Mrs Olusola Awonuga, Alhaji Kareem Iyanda and Comrade Raheem Ajayi.
The meeting was attended by party leaders from the 20 local governments of the state, as well Local government party chairmen and secretaries, ward chairmen, youth leaders and women leaders from the 236 wards of the state.
The meeting was highly successful and eventful as members of the National Reconciliation Committee and party members in Ogun state could be seen beaming with smiles.
