IJEBU-ODE – Members of the media have raised concerns about the behaviour of Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Anifowose’s recently appointed publicist at the recent Olori Omooba of Akile Ijebuland celebration in Ijebu-Ode.
According to reports from journalists who attended the event, the newly appointed Chief Publicist for KWAM 1, Sesan Rufai, faced allegations of acting unprofessionally.
It was claimed that he denied several senior journalists access to various locations used for the celebration of the Olori Omooba of Akile Ijebuland celebration.
Sesan Rufai, the founder of Goldmyne Media, was accused of unprofessional conduct, including physically and verbally confronting media personalities, photojournalists, and reporters who were covering the event.
He allegedly prevented them from recording video and taking photos by denying them access to the event locations. His behaviour at the occasion was said to be unbecoming of a top media PR professional.
Guests, including dignitaries and business leaders, were reportedly shocked and disappointed by Sesan Rufai’s erratic behaviour.
He was also alleged to have engaged in physical altercations with seasoned journalists and society/entertainment reporters from reputable media outlets such as The Nation, LTV8, Biscon TV, HCS TV, Oganla TV, Face TV Africa, and others.
It was also reported that the KWAM 1’s publicist was responsible for providing entertainment allowances to reporters covering the event but allegedly failed to fulfill this obligation.
