IMASAYI-YEWA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – The Olu of Imasayi-Yewa, Ogun State, Alayeluwa Oba (Rtn) Amb. Lukman Olalekan Adeleke Kuoye, Fcim, the Kofoworade Oyesokun V, a monarch renowned for his benevolence, has chosen to withdraw the pursuit of legal action regarding assault, threats to life, and the forcible entry into his palace by certain individuals.
This decision was made after considerable appeals from various quarters and was announced before the Commissioner of Police on Sunday, May 5, 2024.
Oba Kuoye conveyed this decision in a statement he personally signed and shared with StarTrend Int’l magazine and online platforms.
“It is widely acknowledged that ‘an uneasy lies the head that wears the crown,’ yet I am grateful to Allah for His grace in making the past three years smoother than anticipated. The discontent among certain quarters stems from the remarkable progress we are achieving in our kingdom,” Oba Kuoye expressed.
He added, “A responsible leader must possess the resilience to absorb myriad challenges, a trait emblematic of a devout and upright community leader.”
