The community of Ilaro-Yewa in Ogun State, mourned the loss of a revered figure, Alhaji Gaffar Alao Idowu, the Otun Musulumi of Ilaro Central Mosque, Ilaro-Yewa, who passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at the age of 84 after a brief illness.

Known affectionately as “Musulumi Ns’oro”, Alhaji Gaffar Idowu’s life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his faith, his pivotal role in community development, and his profound impact on the lives of countless individuals.

The sudden death of Alhaji Gaffar Idowu has left a profound void in Ilaro-Yewa and beyond. His departure is mourned not only by his family and the Muslim community, but by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
