IJEBU-ODE – Ahead of the commencement of campaign rallies in Ogun State for the upcoming local government elections, Akesi Foundation on Monday, July 12, 2021 donated 1000 notebooks, hundreds of customized T-Shirts to the Party Chairmanship Candidate of APC in Ijebu-Ode local government area of the state, Alhaji Emilola Gazal, his Vice Chairman, Hon. Dare Alebiosu and the Councillorship Candidates.
According to a release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l & online – www.startrendinternational.com by Damilare Majekodunmi Zonal Info Officer Ijebu Ode LG, the programme which was held at the Local Government Secretariat Millennium Hall, Ijebu-Ode was witnessed by party leaders across the 11 Wards of the local government.
In his welcome Address, Transition Chairman Ijebu-Ode Local Government, Engr. Olugbenga Olugbile said the gesture was a good one from a party member and a ‘son of the soil’ to assist the Chairman, Vice Chairman and Councillorship Candidates on the forthcoming Local Government Election in Ijebu-Ode.
His words, “I am impressed with your generosity to the party, this shows you have the interest of party members in mind. It is God that can reward you, and we promise to distribute the materials to our people.”
Also speaking, the APC Party chairman in Ijebu-Ode local government, Mr Sikiru Adebayo said, “We can not forget what you are doing, this is not the first time and definitely would not be the last, we want other people to emulate this type of kind gesture.”
The CEO of AKESI FOUNDATION, Barr. Mokesioluwa Seun-Adedamola said she is grateful to God for the protection over her people, saying she is ready work for the success of all the candidates in the forthcoming local government election in Ijebu-Ode.
“I am pleased to inform everyone that AKESI FOUNDATION is donating 1,000 notebooks, hundreds of customized campaign T-shirt to the Chairman, Vice Chairman, and the 11 Councilorship candidates alongside a sum of N200,000 cash to the APC Ijebu-Ode LGA Campaign”, AKESI said.
In their separate remarks, the APC Chairmanship Candidate, Alhaji Emilola Gazal and a Councilorship Candidate from Ward 7, Hon. Adewale Kuojo expressed their appreciated for the kind gesture of the AKESI Foundation donation of campaign materials and cash to support their campaign.
Alhaji Emilola Gazal noted that Akesi is the first female to donate materials like this for the forthcoming local government election in the state and she is deeply appreciated.
Other dignitaries at the event included former Senatorial party Chairman, Pa Elias, Alhaji Saromi, Ogun state youth leader, Hon. Babatunde Aremu, Alhaji Bisi Quadri and a host of others.
