Ahmadiyyah Jamaat Assures More Dev. Projects In Ilaro, Visits Oba Olugbenle

ILARO-YEWA – As part of activities lined up for the 68th Annual National Conference of the Ahmadiyyah Organization, holding between December 23 and 25, 2022 at the Ahmadiyyah Missionary Training Centre, Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State, the leadership of the Ahmadiyyah Muslim Jamaat, Nigeria, on Saturday, December 17, 2022, paid a courtesy visit to the Olu of Ilaro & Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba (Dr) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle MFR at his palace.

The Amir (Head), Ahmadiyyah Muslim Jamaat, Nigeria, Alhaji Alatoye Folorunso Abdul Azeez who led the delegation, said the visit was to intimate Oba Olugbenle with the coming event and formally show appreciation for monarch’s interest and support for the organization.

According to him, the visit was also to assure Oba Olugbenle and the people of Ilaro-Yewa of the organization’s continued commitment to impact, positively on the Ilaro-Yewa community, in particular and Nigeria, in general.

He said the three-day event will be held under the guidance of the Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Worldwide, Hazrat Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V, and have Alhaji Abdul-Azeez as the Chairman while the Ogun state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, will be the Special Guest of Honour and Oba Olugbenle is the Special Royal Guest.

Alhaji Abdul Azeez commended Oba Olugbenle for ensuring that the Ilaro-Yewa community has been a very accommodating host to the organization, “a situation which has provided an enabling environment for the growth of the Ahmadiyya Training Centre located in the town.

“We have just laid the foundation of the Masroor International Technical College at the Centre and this brings the number of Institutions established by the Ahmadiyya Jamaat in Ilaro to five”.

According to Alhaji Azeez, highlights of the Conference will be Lectures, Awards for Distinguished Ahmadiyya Muslim faithful and Special Prayers to be held for successful elections in 2023.

In his response, Oba Olugbenle expressed his delight with the activities and contributions of the Ahmadiyya Organization to the socio-economic development of Ilaro-Yewa and assured the delegation of his continued support and the hospitality of the host community.
