…Says Nigeria May Witness Cameroon-Like Political Tension if Caution Is Ignored
Popular Nigerian prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a stern warning about potential political tension in Nigeria, drawing parallels to the recent electoral unrest in Cameroon.
Speaking during a live prophetic session on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, the cleric revealed that he foresaw a situation in which opposition parties in Nigeria may prematurely declare themselves winners before official results are released – a move that could trigger serious political instability.
“Look at what is happening in Cameroon,” Primate Ayodele cautioned. “That is exactly what will happen in Nigeria. That’s exactly what wanted to happen in Nigeria.”
According to him, the pattern of confusion, distrust, and self-declared victories seen in other African elections could repeat itself in Nigeria if political leaders fail to act with restraint and responsibility.
The prophet, known for his accurate political prophecies across Africa, explained that such incidents are often symptoms of widespread distrust in electoral institutions and governance systems.
He therefore urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the government, and political parties to take proactive steps to ensure transparency, fairness, and order in the 2027 general elections.
“The opposition will come out strongly before the election, before the announcement,” he warned. “They will announce themselves as a winner; they will declare themselves as a winner.”
Primate Ayodele emphasized that Nigeria must not ignore divine counsel at this crucial moment, noting that the failure to manage political emotions and expectations could plunge the country into avoidable crisis.
He called on Nigerians to pray for peace, urging political leaders to embrace justice, dialogue, and fairness in all electoral processes.
“Only truth and fairness,” he said, “can prevent Nigeria from experiencing the kind of confusion and conflict that has destabilized other African nations.”
