ILARO-YEWA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – The Abidat Association of Ansar-Ud-Deen Society in Nigeria, Ilaro-Yewa Branch, has commended Chief Sebili Alao Hamed, the Chairman of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Ilaro-Yewa Branch and his brother Elhadj (Otunba) Abu-Satar Idowu Hamed, the Otun Baaroyin of Ilaro-Yewa for their devout commitment to Islam and their consistent support for its propagation.
Alhaja Aishat Adebiyi, the group’s leader, expressed this views during their annual Asalat (Ramadan Prayer) visit to the Hamed family’s residence in Oke-Odo area of Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State on Saturday, March 30, 2024.
Alhaja Adebiyi delivered a sermon centered on Quran 2, verse 274 – “Those who spend their wealth (in Allah’s cause) by night and day, in secret and public, they shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve”, emphasizing the virtues of those who generously contribute to Allah’s cause.
She highlighted the Hamed family’s hospitality towards the group over the years, underscoring their unwavering support for Islamic activities.
Encouraging the family to continue their steadfast devotion to Allah, Alhaja Adebiyi offered prayers for their well-being, including their spouses, children, grandchildren, and relatives, as they embarked on the Ramadan fasting period in 2024.
Expressing gratitude to Allah for His protection and blessings, Alhaja Adebiyi, Alhaja Kabirat Odunewu, and other members of the group conducted a special recitation from the Holy Quran, seeking divine favour upon the household during Ramadan and beyond.
Chief Sebili Hamed, also the President of the Tailoring Association of Nigeria (TAN), Ogun State Chapter, expressed the family’s appreciation for the association’s love and prayers. He invoked blessings and protection upon the members and their families.
Elhadj (Otunba) Hamed, who is also the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of StarTrend Int’l magazine and online platform, thanked the association for their consistent visits and prayers, praying for their continued well-being.
The prayer session concluded with Islamic hymns sung by the members, fostering spiritual unity and community among all participants.
