… Leads Yewa People Development Council AGM

The month of December 2024 was eventful for HRM Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, the Olu of Ilaro, Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, and Chairman of the Ogun State Council of Obas, with a series of engagements highlighting his royal duties and community involvement.
Oba Olugbenle, on Saturday, December 28, 2024, graced the wedding ceremony of Yinka, the son of Alhaja Salmot Makanjuola Badru, former Deputy Governor of Ogun State.
Held in Abeokuta, the event featured prominent dignitaries, including former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Ogun State Governor Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun, and Ogun State Deputy Governor Engr. Noimot Oyedele-Salako.
Other notable attendees included Aremo Olusegun Osoba, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel, and Hon. Gboyega Nasir Isiaka.
The gathering also featured all past Deputy Governors of Ogun State and several other distinguished personalities.
Later that evening, Oba Olugbenle attended the Olugbenle Family End-of-the-Year Party in Lagos, joining family and friends to celebrate the season.
The Chairman of the Ogun State Council of Obas on Sunday, December 29, 2024, was also honored as the Grand Patron of the Christ Ambassadors Society of the Cathedral Church of Christ, Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State.
This recognition came during the society’s 30th Anniversary Thanksgiving service, held at the Cathedral.
The same day, Oba Olugbenle hosted the traditional wedding ceremony of Olukemi Adetola, the daughter of Otunba Dr. S.A.J. Ibikunle, the Otunba of Olu Ilaro-Yewa, and Anthony Olabode Odunlami at his private palace.
The grand event was another testament to the royal family’s commitment to celebrating love and unity.
Oba Olugbenle, on Monday, December 30, 2024, hosted the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Yewa People Development Council (YPDC).
The event, held at the Olu’s private palace, brought together traditional rulers from Yewaland and representatives from various Yewa associations.
The YPDC, created by the Yewa Traditional Council, harmonizes the developmental activities of numerous Yewa clubs and associations, underscoring the importance of collaboration for regional progress.
Earlier that day, Oba Olugbenle welcomed members of the Yewa Descendants Union from Abuja on a courtesy visit.
The group also presented awards and gift items to outstanding students from Yewaland, further emphasizing the Paramount Ruler’s dedication to education and youth development.
