ABEOKUTA: The governorship candidate of the defunct APM in Ogun State ,Hon. Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade has joined the kind-hearted Nigerians to put smiles on the faces of the less-priviledged in the state.
According to a press release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l magazine & www.startrendinternational.com by Alao Azeez Adelani, Media Aide to Hon. Akinlade, Triple A as he is fondly called on Thursday, April 2 2020 released substantial cash to be given to the aged, party faithful and leaders across the 57 local government and local council development areas of the state.
Recall, Triple A, following his principal’s footstep, Senator Ibikunle Amosun who on Tuesday, March 31, 2020, donated the sum of N25m to the Ogun State government and foodstuff to 25,000 households in Ogun state to combat the coronavirus pandemic and cushion the adverse impact of the two weeks lockdown on the good people of Ogun State, also made his own contribution on Thursday, April 2, 2020.
The cash donation is being disbursed by the senatorial and local council coordinators across the state.
Hon. Adekunle Akinlade in the release noted that this complementary gesture become necessary in order to support the indigent people scattered across the state with a view to cushion the effect of the lockdown order by the government as a result of the covid-19 pandemic.
While advising the people of the state to abide strictly by the lockdown order to avoid any issues with security agencies during the policy implementation, the Agosasa-born APC chieftain also implored the good people of Ogun State to adhere to the precautions stipulated by the health and appropriate authorities.
