COVID-19: Abeokuta South LG Sets Up Food Bank, Requests For Support From Philanthropists

ABEOKUTA: In a bid to cushion the effect of the lockdown and the Covid-19 pandemic, Abeokuta South local government has deemed has set up a food bank, so that the people of Abeokuta Sourh have access to various food items and other relief materials. 

According to a press release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l magazine & www.startrendinternational.com by Hon Ayo Shomide, Transition chairman Abeokuta South local government, stated that “We call on philanthropists, corporate organisations, NGO’S , churches,  businesses and well meaning individuals to support this initiative.

“The food bank is at the Local government secretariat, Ake, Abeokuta. We welcome donation of food items and relief materials to support the less privileged within our local government as we prepare for the state lockdown which commences on Friday, April 3, 2020.
