Iboro Agog As Eyinni Festival Starts Oct. 26

IBORO: The ancient town of Iboro in Yewa North Local Government of Ogun State will be in festive mood as this yearly Eyinni Festival holds with a week-long activity.

According to the Aboro of Iboroland, Oba Daniel Abayomi Adeloye Salako, sons and daughters, including well-wishers of the town would converge for this year’s celebration.

Going through the invitation made available to StarTrend Int’l magazine & www.startrendinternational.com by Oba Salako, the event kicks-off on Saturday, October 26, 2019 with a press conference and later Iwole Awo.

The ceremony continues on Sunday October 27, featuring Itepa, a spiritual procession round the town; Oju Eyinni comes up on Monday October 28; Wednesday October 30 features Quiz Competition & Merry-making and Novelty Matches takes place on Thursday October 31 while Jumat Service holds on Friday November 1, 2019.

Grand Finale of the event comes up on Saturday November 2, featuring paying of homage to the Aboro of Iboroland, Oba Daniel Adeloye Salako, follow by conferment of chieftaincy titles on some sons and daughters, including friends of the town, and Appeal Fund.

The ceremony will be rounded off on Sunday November 3, 2019 with a Church Thanksgiving service.

Oba Daniel Salako however calls on the entire people of Iboro Kingdom and well-wishers to celebrate with come celebrate with them, the age-long festival which features culture and tradition of the ancient town.

To make the event rollicking, a popular Fuji music icon, Alao Adekunle Malaika will be performing live at te Grand Finale.
