Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun on Saturday, August 10, 2019 urged Muslim faithful to imbibe the spirit of perseverance, steadfastness and obedience as they join their brethren around the world to celebrate this year Eid-El- Kabir festival.
Dapo Abiodun, in his goodwill message to Muslims reminded them that those godly qualities were the qualities of Prophet Muhammad.
His words, “Let me enjoin you all to celebrate with moderation. We must all remember that even this celebration is an act of worship to Allah. And, I pray that God accepts all our worship as Ibadah. May He also grant us good rewards in this life and hereafter.”
“Once again, on behalf of your Government, I wish all our Muslims faithful a happy Eid-El-Kabir celebration. I pray that we will celebrate many more of Eid-El-Kabir in good health and prosperity,” he affirmed.
The Governor who appealed to the people of the State to join hands with his administration to move the State to the next level said the Eid-El-Kabir festival is another opportunity for Muslims to realign themselves with God.
