GODE, ETHIOPIA – The President and Chief Executive of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, recently led the official groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the $2.5 billion Dangote Gode Fertiliser Plant in Gode, Ethiopia.

The event marks a major milestone in the company’s ongoing expansion across Africa’s agricultural and industrial sectors, reinforcing Dangote Industries’ commitment to promoting food security, economic growth, and regional industrial integration on the continent.

The groundbreaking ceremony, held recently, attracted top dignitaries from within and outside Ethiopia.

Among those in attendance were Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, Chairman of MRS Oil Nigeria Plc, Sayyu Dantata, Group Chairman of NGX Group, Dr. Umaru Kwairanga and Chief Executive Officer of Ethiopia Investment Holdings, Biru Taye.
