FCT, ABUJA, NIGERIA – Political observers across Nigeria have commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his decisive intervention in the political crisis in Rivers State, describing him as a true father of the nation.

The reconciliation effort culminated in a closed-door meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja in the evening of Thursday, June 26, 2025, where President Tinubu successfully brokered peace between the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and the suspended Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara.

In an online interview conducted nationwide by StarTrend Int’l Magazine, political analysts – who preferred to remain anonymous—praised President Tinubu’s wisdom and statesmanship, crediting him for helping restore calm and stability to the state’s tense political landscape.

Observers also commended Wike, Fubara, and members of the Rivers State House of Assembly for choosing dialogue over discord and prioritizing the peace and well-being of Rivers people.

In a related development, Governor Fubara held a separate meeting in Abuja with the suspended Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Martin Amaewhule, signaling further steps toward reconciliation and unity in the state.
