LAGOS, NIGERIA – Former Lagos State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has pledged his full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
Jandor made the declaration on Friday, May 16, 2025, during a rally in Ojo, Lagos, where he publicly announced his return to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Addressing his supporters, he vowed that he and his team would do everything within their power to ensure President Tinubu secures another term in office come 2027.
He expressed confidence that Tinubu’s re-election was inevitable, citing the President’s people-focused reforms and the growing wave of defections from opposition parties into the APC as strong indicators of his popularity.
Explaining the rationale behind his return to the ruling party, Jandor said the visible achievements of Tinubu’s administration convinced him to rejoin the APC.
He praised the President’s resolve to act in the best interest of Nigerians.
Highlighting the removal of fuel subsidy as a bold and sacrificial policy, Jandor described it as a clear demonstration of Tinubu’s selflessness.
“The removal of fuel subsidy makes Tinubu a selfless President because he would have ordinarily allowed the status quo to remain to secure second term in office”, he stated.
