PMAN Executives Visit Yewa South Secretary, Seek Collaboration For Growth Opportunities (+photos)

ILARO-YEWA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – Members of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Yewa South Local Government, on Thursday, May 15, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Comrade Abdul-Jabar Ayelagbe, in his office.

In his welcome address, Comrade Ayelagbe expressed appreciation for the visit and began his speech with a notable quote, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

He emphasized the vital role musicians and performing artistes play in promoting cultural development at the grassroots, adding that their impact contributes significantly to local, state, and national growth.

Comrade Ayelagbe assured the delegation of his willingness to support their efforts and offered encouragement for the group to consider volunteering in township festivals and community development services.

He noted that such engagements help build strong community ties and open up growth opportunities.

Representatives of PMAN used the opportunity to highlight their past and ongoing contributions to community development through music.

They made a passionate appeal for official consideration, performance opportunities, and referrals that could elevate their platforms and showcase their talent.

The artistes expressed readiness to participate in community festivals, youth events, and private functions across genres such as Fuji, Juju, Gospel, Bolojo, Islamic songs, and other traditional cultural melodies.

The 17-member PMAN delegation was led by Amb. Olakunle Femi and included Mr. Aboaba Rotimi, Alhaji Wale Dollar, Lady Evangelist C.A. Afolabi, Hajia Monsurat Imole Anobi, Mr. Adele Mukaila, Sunday Orobiyi Sunny Best, KayGold, Mrs. Awebiogbon and other distinguished artistes and stakeholders in the Yewa South music community.
