In a strategic effort to strengthen leadership and sustain organizational growth, the National President of the National Association of Yewa Students (NAYES), Comrade (Prince) Faruq Tella, has officially inaugurated the newly elected executives of NAYES chapters at four major tertiary institutions in Ogun State.

The inauguration ceremonies took place at the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro (FPI), Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), and Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY).

These events marked the official start of a new administrative session for each chapter, ushering in a fresh wave of student leaders to drive the association’s agenda on their respective campuses.

According to a media release e-signed and shared by Comrade Adebiyi Gabriel, the Public Relations Officer of NAYES National Body, each inauguration was not just ceremonial but also symbolic of the vibrant student spirit and unity that NAYES embodies.

In his address, the National President congratulated the new executives and charged them to prioritize the welfare of Yewa students, maintain unity, and foster effective collaboration among members.

He reminded them that the Yewa People Development Council (YPDC) remains the umbrella body for student associations in Yewaland and emphasized the importance of submitting regular monthly reports to the council.

Comrade (Prince) Tella further stated that efforts are ongoing to establish or revive NAYES chapters in more institutions, ensuring that no Yewa student is left without representation.

In line with this, he revealed that coordinators have been appointed in several institutions to oversee the affairs of the association and prepare the groundwork for full chapter integration.

This move, according to him, is part of the broader vision to strengthen the NAYES structure across tertiary institutions nationwide.

The inauguration events were graced by notable dignitaries, including NAYES Senate President, Sen. Bisi Ajense; Vice President, Comr. Idowu Rotimi; Former National President, Comr. Faleru Peter; Comr. Lasilo Peter Lekan; Treasurer, Comr. Bamgboye Idris FPI; Welfare Director, Comr. Saka Faisat; Sport Director, Comr Akintola Abdul Azeem; Students’ Union executives led by Comr. Woleola Kehinde and Rt. Hon. Bamgboye Elizabeth (Speaker) and Aare Ogun FPI & OGITECH, among others.

The ceremonies concluded with a renewed sense of commitment to the mission of NAYES, fostering leadership, unity, academic excellence, and student advocacy across Yewaland.
