SOKOTO, SOKOTO STATE, NIGERIA – The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 10 Headquarters, Sokoto, AIG Gyogon Augustine Grimah, psc, FCAI, paid a courtesy visit to Rev. Dr. Matthew Hassan Kukah, the Catholic Bishop of the Sokoto Diocese, on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
He was accompanied by the Commissioner of Police, Sokoto State Command, CP Ahmed Musa, psc, and his management team.
According to a press release e-signed and shared with StarTrend Int’l Magazine and online platform by DSP Uthman Muhammad Yaqub, ANIPR, the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer for the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 10 Police Headquarters Sokoto, the visit was to formally introduce AIG Grimah as the newly posted AIG to the zone.
In his address, AIG Grimah stated that he came to the residence of the Bishop to seek the Most Reverend’s blessings, as well as his continued support and collaboration in promoting peace and unity across the zone’s diverse cultural and religious communities.
Most Rev. Dr. Matthew Hassan Kukah warmly welcomed the AIG and his entourage, expressing appreciation for the visit.
He acknowledged AIG Grimah’s impressive track record and expressed confidence in his capacity to perform excellently in his new role.
The Bishop also prayed for God’s blessings, protection, and favour upon the AIG as he discharges his duties.
