Breaking: Women Storm Port Harcourt In Protest, Appeal To President Tinubu For Fubara’s Reinstatement

PORT-HARCOURT, RIVERS STATE, NIGERIA – The streets of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, in the morning of Wednesday, April 16, 2025 were overtaken by hundreds of women clad in red attire, staging a massive protest.

The women were united in their call for the immediate return of the suspended state governor, Siminalayi Fubara. Their message was loud and clear as they demanded justice and reinstatement.

With chants of “Bring Back Sim” resonating through the city, the protesters blocked major roads in a striking display of unity and resolve.

The demonstrators also directed their plea to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging him to lift the emergency rule currently imposed on the state, which they see as unjust and detrimental to democracy.
