FCT, ABUJA, NIGERIA – Senator Adams Oshiomhole, representing Edo North at the National Assembly, has spoken out about the recent controversy involving Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, emphasizing the importance of adhering to Senate rules.

During a Senate meeting, Oshiomhole recalled how Senate President Godswill Akpabio once held Senator Natasha Akpoti in high regard, referring to her as the “Princess of the Senate.” The reference hinted at a previously cordial relationship between the two senators.

Addressing the issue of Akpoti’s suspension, Oshiomhole urged her to acknowledge the significance of following Senate protocols.

He stated, “Senator Natasha Uduaghan, not everyone who has spoken can be wrong. The rules of the Senate must be followed, and they are important.”

The former Edo State governor admitted his initial misunderstanding of the situation, saying, “I wasn’t in the Senate that day, but when I saw the arguments on TV, I thought it was something else. Later, I was told it was just about…”

Oshiomhole’s comments suggest that his absence during the initial discussions may have contributed to his confusion over the issue.
