ABEOKUTA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, along with other dignitaries in Ogun State, participated in the Nigerian Armed Forces Remembrance Day ceremony led by Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun.
The event paid a heartfelt tribute to the courage and sacrifice of Nigeria’s fallen heroes.
The monarch had earlier been represented on Friday, January 10, 2025, by Oba Lukmon Kuoye, the Olu of Imasayi-Yewa, at a special Jumat Thanksgiving Service; and on Sunday, January 12, 2025, by Oba Benjamin Alabi Oyeditan Olanite, Onimeko of Imeko-Yewa, at a Sunday Service held in commemoration of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
The Nigerian Armed Forces remain the cornerstone of the nation’s sovereignty, tasked with safeguarding territorial integrity and maintaining peace.
In a solemn reflection, Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Olugbenle prayed for the eternal rest of the departed souls and called for collective dedication to ensuring peace and progress across Nigeria.
