OGSG Reveals Modalities To Own Dapo Abiodun E-Bikes

ABEOKUTA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – The Ogun State Commissioner for Transportation, Engr. Olugbenga Dairo, has responded to the inquisitions of some citizens on the modalities to own a Dapo Abiodun Electric Bikes (D. A. E-Bikes) and efforts towards making the distribution more seamless in the state.

According to a release e-signed and made available to the media by Abdulsalam Bukola, Information/Public Relation Officer, OGMoT, the Commissioner disclosed this to journalists in his office at Oke-Mosan, while congratulating previous beneficiaries of the E-Bikes.

He disclosed that the first and second phases were harmonised in the State Strategic Transportation Master Plan (STMP) of 2021.

Dairo said the implementation was a reality, to energy transition process in transportation system in Ogun State, adding that the operations of the E Bikes would soon be upscaled to other towns in the State.

‘’The Electric Bikes which was christened D. A Bikes, the first two phases have to a large extent, helped in ameliorating the effects of fuel subsidy removal as its success has evidently reduced the stress of commuters, cost of transportation and promote cleaner environment due to its zero-carbon emission’’, Dairo stated.

The Commissioner, noted that a total number of 13 battery swap stations, were identified, and presently, 6 active stations were in full operation at Kuto (opposite MKO Abiola Stadium), Panseke (Skating Ground), Sokori (Opposite Fatgbems Petrol Station), Lafenwa (Enu Gada), Asero (Rahmade Petrol Station), Aladesanmi Asero and at Rounder opposite Carry Go Industry, all situated in Abeokuta and were powered by Propane Gas.

He urged, those interested in owning the bike for commercial purposes, to approach the approved motor cycle transport unions in the State for enquiry, while interested private operators should directly contact SPIRO Mobility Nigeria Ltd at Ogun State Public Works Agency Yard, Agbeloba, Abeokuta, or call 09130000352 for further information on its availability.
