LAGOS, NIGERIA – Following Donald Trump’s victory over Kamala Harris in the recent U.S. presidential election, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, the Founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Ejigbo, Lagos, has addressed the controversy surrounding his earlier prophecy.
He reiterated that he does not make predictions, but instead shares messages as revealed to him by divine guidance.
In a recent interview, Ayodele emphasized that he had never explicitly declared Harris as the winner. Instead, he explained that his October 30th prophecy highlighted Harris’s favorable position, suggesting her chances were strong if she maintained momentum in critical areas.
“I make prophecies, not predictions,” Ayodele stated, clarifying that he speaks only on what he believes is revealed to him by God.
The cleric found himself embroiled in debate as some media reports claimed he “predicted” Harris’s victory. Ayodele responded by stressing the distinction between prophecy and prediction, asserting that he was merely conveying Harris’s strengths at the time of his statement.
In his prophecy, Primate Ayodele warned Harris to secure her strongholds and not to underestimate Trump’s influence. Ayodele believes Harris’s failure to act on these warnings contributed to her defeat, adding that his intentions had been to guide rather than to forecast a specific outcome.
Despite the misrepresentation, Ayodele remains firm, stating, “I never said Kamala Harris would win; I only spoke to her current standing at the time.” The cleric reiterated his commitment to delivering divine revelations as he perceives them, distancing himself from predictions or speculative forecasts.
