Immediate Past Yewa South Chairman Alhaji Lateef Adebayo Salami Is Dead

ILARO-YEWA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – Tragedy struck in Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State, on the evening of Saturday, October 12, 2024, with the news of the death of Alhaji (Hon.) Lateef Adebayo Salami, affectionately known as LAS, who served as the immediate past chairman of the Yewa South local government.

Reports indicated that LAS died at an undisclosed hospital in Ilaro-Yewa after a brief illness, leaving the community in shock and sorrow.

As the news of his death spreads, the ancient town of Ilaro is engulfed in mourning for a beloved indigene and dedicated public servant, highlighting the deep impact he had on those around him.

LAS was widely recognized for his unwavering commitment to the advancement of Yewa South Local Government.

His contributions to the state’s healthcare sector were particularly notable, including participation in the Basic Health Care Provision Fund Monitoring and Evaluation workshop, among various other initiatives aimed at enhancing the local government council. C
