Ogun Speaker Commends Abiodun’s Support

ABEOKUTA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA  – Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, has commended the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for his unwavering support during the one-year anniversary of the House of Assembly.

Elemide noted that the governor has been able to provide the Assembly Complex with potable water and renovate the legislative chamber, which now has a new look, ensuring an enabling working environment for the honourable members.

The Speaker made this known during a recent courtesy call by the National Executive members of the Alumni Associations of Reverend Kuti Grammar School (Kutites), held at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

According to him, the efforts of the school founder were driven by a passion for the success of Egba indigenes.

He assured the State government of the Kutites’ support in achieving development in the State’s education sector.

In the same vein, Hon. Elemide advised the Alumni to officially present all their school requests through the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, promising to fast-track their implementation and enforcement.

Earlier, the National President of the Alumni Associations of Reverend Kuti Grammar School (Kutites), Mr. Kunle Oguntoyinbo, honoured the Speaker with a plaque, recognizing him as a worthy ambassador of the ‘Kutites’ and acknowledging his achievements as the head of the legislative arm. He also applauded the honourable members for their support.

He urged the State government to help recover the school’s encroached land, provide potable water, and build new classrooms to replace the dilapidated ones, adding that the students need new structures for a conducive learning environment.
