KANO, KANO STATE, NIGERIA – The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has announced an extension of the suspension of Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf until December, as part of internal disciplinary measures.
This decision was confirmed by Oginni Olaposi Sunday, the National Secretary of NNPP, who also disclosed plans for a pivotal stakeholders meeting in Abuja later this month.
The meeting aims to address critical issues within the party and reinforce decisions regarding prominent figures like former Presidential Candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso, Buba Galadima, and the entire former national working committee led by Ahmed Ajuji, all of whom remain expelled from NNPP.
Highlighting the significance of the upcoming gathering, Oginni emphasized its role in strengthening democratic processes and preparing the party for the 2027 general elections.
He underscored the mandatory attendance of all stakeholders and key members, cautioning against consequences for those neglecting party directives.
NNPP’s national secretary reaffirmed the party’s commitment to upholding its constitution and called on INEC to support internal democratic principles crucial for Nigeria’s democratic growth and sustainability.
