LAGOS, NIGERIA – 2Face Idibia, in an interview with DJ Anyaloko, was asked why he chose to marry Annie Idibia out of all the women in his life.
He leaned back, taking a moment of reflection before responding with sincerity. “You see,” he began, “Perro Adeniyi, who gave birth to my first son, graduated from a prestigious UK university as a medical student and is now a doctor. She is not only stunningly beautiful but also highly intelligent, hailing from a wealthy family.”
He continued, “Sandra, the mother of my other two children, deals in exquisite diamond and gold jewelry. She was already a millionaire when I met her, owning one of the most luxurious homes in Banana Island. Her family’s wealth matched her own success.”
Taking another breath, 2Face went on, “Sumbo, who bore two children for me, is a brilliant first-class lawyer. She has garnered success by winning numerous significant cases for affluent clients both locally and internationally. Like the others, she possesses striking beauty.”
With a tender smile, 2Face continued, “But Annie comes from a modest background, much like my own. We both started with very little. She stood by me through thick and thin. When we had no car, she didn’t hesitate to hop on bikes or take the bus. She believed in me during times of financial struggle and when success seemed distant.”
He reminisced, “During those days of scarcity, she would hold my head, gazing into my eyes, assuring me that better days were ahead. Even when I lacked confidence, she saw me as her Prince Charming, her KING, her unwavering supporter.”
2Face’s voice softened as he recalled, “Even when fame brought challenges and controversies threatened to derail my career, Annie remained steadfast. She would kneel and pray for guidance and victory over adversaries.”
He concluded passionately, “So, it’s not about who had more to offer me. I chose Annie because she gave me everything when we had very little. If I were still that struggling boy on the streets of Lagos, would a doctor, a lawyer, or a millionaire businesswoman have seen me as worthy? No. Annie’s love and support were invaluable, transcending material wealth.”
