ILARO-YEWA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA -The Yewa Youth Association has initiated the second phase of its JAMB examination tutorial program for students in Yewaland, deploying specialized teachers to needy towns to ensure comprehensive preparation for the upcoming Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations.
Following the distribution of free JAMB forms to hundreds of students across Yewaland by the Yewa Youth Association, the central youth bodies in various towns were directed to begin tutorials during the association’s February 2024 meeting in Ilara-Yewa.
The aim is to equip candidates with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their exams.
Nothing less than thirty-two towns central youth bodies have successfully carried out tutorials and sensitization programmes in March 2024 while a significant number of towns have commenced the second phase of the tutorials.
Imeko Youth Congress takes the lead in the second phase which commenced on Wednesday, 3rd April; followed by Ilaro Youth Council, Ijoun Progressive Youth Forum, and Ilara Youth Forum on 8th April while Ipokia Youth Development Council, Ayetoro Central Youth Association, Owode-Afon Youth Association are scheduled for 10th April.
Others such as Oke-Odan Youth Council, Oja Odan Youth Forum, Ajilete-Yewa Youth Forum and many others have concluded plans to commence within the week before the commencement of the examination on the 19th April, 2024.
Arrangements were also put in place by the Yewa Youth Association where special courses Teachers like Chemistry, Physics, Further Maths, and Lit-in English Volunteer Teachers are deployed to towns with sizeable numbers of Jamb candidates without teachers in the aforesaid areas.
Beneficiaries at different centers continue to applaud the initiatives of the free tutorials which they described as helpful.
