Police Summoned Nollywood Actor Femi Adebayo Over Allegations Of Promoting Homosexuality

The Nigeria Police Force has summoned Nollywood actor Femi Adebayo over allegations of promoting homosexuality through his presentation of the Best Dressed Female award to popular cross-dresser Bobrisky during a movie premiere.

This information was disclosed by the actor’s colleague, Dayo Amusa, who has been discussing the award since it sparked widespread reactions.

Dayo Amusa revealed that Femi Adebayo contacted her following her response to the award, which has garnered significant attention globally. She stated that he expressed concern about the video and requested that she record another one for damage control.

In an update, Dayo Amusa explained that Femi confided in her about receiving calls from members of the Muslim society and being summoned by the police due to his involvement in presenting the award to a cross-dresser.

The actress criticized Femi over allegations that she envied his career, dismissing such notions as narrow-minded. She also noted that while Femi’s wife, Aladuke, had the right to defend her husband, insulting her was unwarranted.

Dayo stated, “Initially, I had decided not to comment, but I feel compelled to speak out now. Let me begin from the beginning of this issue. I maintain my stance that Bobrisky did not deserve to win the Best Dressed award. I understand that every action has consequences, and I cannot control how people react to my opinions.”

Addressing Aladuke, Femi Adebayo’s wife, she added, “You and I did not have any issues until now. I respected the way you defended your husband, but the manner in which you addressed the situation and called me names suggests a lack of depth. I would like to believe that your husband did not bring our conversation to your attention.”

She further mentioned, “He called me this morning and mentioned that he initially thought my post was lighthearted, but it escalated beyond control. I reminded him that we cannot control how people react to our actions.”
