LAGOS, NIGERIA – Access Bank Plc., one of the leading financial institutions in Nigeria and Africa, has appointed Olakunle Aderinokun as the Head of Media and Public Relation.
Olakunle will be overseeing the Media Department previously headed by the late Abdul Kolawole Imoyo who died on December 17, 2023.
The Public Relations (PR) and art enthusiast, Aderinokun announced his appointment via his LinkedIn handle.
He said; “I’m pleased to share that I’ve resumed a new position as Head, Media and Public Relations at Access Corporation.”
Recall, Olakunle Aderinokun was the Editor at Arise News Channel where he was responsible for selecting, cutting, and putting together video footage and turning it into a cohesive sequence that tells the story as the director intended.
Aderinokun is a detail-oriented journalist who has shown balance in his creativity and results.
He is a consistent and reliable individual who has deep insights in reporting, especially about business and finance.
In the course of his journalism career, Olakunle has interviewed top CEOs of institutions in the private and public sectors, and has travelled widely.
Aderinokun has attended workshops and conferences in Nigeria and overseas, including the IMF-World Bank meetings, African Development Bank (AfDB) meetings, Asia-Africa Trade and Investment Conference/Tokyo International Conference on African Development (AATIC/TICAD); Africa Oil Week, Cape Town, South Africa; Vaasa Energy Week, Finland.
Olakunle started his career at First Marina Trust Ltd as an MIS and Account, he then moved to Wall Street Trust Company as an Analyst.
He also served at United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) as a Banking Officer, and after a year, he founded Pure Synergy.
At ThisDay Newspaper Group, Olakunle worked as an Associate Editor and Group Business Editor with the responsibility of editing and writing business stories and analyses.
Olakunle holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Ilorin as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Lagos.
