Group Criticized For Alleging Senator Adeola Yayi Personalizes Government-Funded Projects

ABEOKUTA – The Ogun West Coalition for Good Governance (OWECOGG) has strongly criticized the Yewa/Awori Youth Network for falsely accusing Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, representing Ogun West Senatorial District, of converting government-funded projects for personal gain.

In a statement issued by the convener of OWECOGG, Adeosun Benjamin, the group denounced the allegations as baseless and politically motivated.

Benjamin asserted that the accusations were fabricated by opponents seeking to undermine Senator Adeola’s reputation and popularity, both locally and statewide.

He emphasized that Senator Adeola has consistently advocated for projects and initiatives aimed at fostering socio-economic development in Ogun West.

Benjamin clarified that the senator’s efforts were aimed at addressing long-standing development challenges in the district, rather than serving personal interests.

The statement by OWECOGG comes in response to claims made by the Yewa/Awori Youth Network, accusing Senator Adeola of misappropriating government resources and falsely portraying government-funded projects as personal initiatives.

The Yewa/Awori Youth Network alleged that certain projects meant for other constituencies were erroneously credited to Senator Adeola.

However, OWECOGG dismissed these claims as unfounded and urged the public to disregard them.

The group reiterated its support for Senator Adeola’s efforts to improve the lives of constituents in Ogun West and reaffirmed its confidence in his leadership.

OWECOGG called for a focus on constructive dialogue and collaborative efforts to address the development needs of Ogun West, rather than engaging in baseless accusations and political maneuvering.
