The age-old advice to wholeheartedly dedicate oneself to any endeavor has once again proven its worth in the recent promotion of DCP Sunday Olukayode to the rank of CP, with a subsequent deployment to Plateau State Police Command.
Hailing from Eruku town in Ekiti Local Government of Kwara State, CP Sunday Olukayode has earned praise from the state government and Kwarans alike for his prudence, commitment, and untarnished track record.
His journey through various commands, including Kwara, Imo, Ábíá, Anambra, Enugu, Benue, Ebonyi, Lafia, and Lagos State, reflects a consistent display of professionalism, outstanding leadership qualities, and commendable legacies.
In a conversation with BethNews Media’s publisher, Oluwaseun Fabiyi, the newly appointed Plateau Commissioner of Police attributed his elevation to a combination of unwavering dedication to duty and the supernatural favour of God.
When asked about his modest lifestyle despite his accomplishments, CP Olukayode emphasized the absence of any unethical dealings or reasons for anxiety.
He said, “I strive to be a good ambassador for myself, my family, my community, and the profession.”
It is noteworthy that CP Olukayode, known as ‘Jingo Star’ in Erukucity, is a Psychologist and a University of Ibadan graduate.
As an ordained Deacon in Living Faith Church, also known as Winners’ Chapel, CP Olukayode carries his faith in Christ as a guiding principle.
Hailing from Erukucity, a bordering town between Kwara and Kogi State, CP Olukayode is joyfully married to Deaconess Bose Olukayode, an astute Daughter of Erukuland. Their union is blessed with three graduate children, two Lawyers, and a Mathematician.
The OWA of Erukucity, OWA-in-Council, and Erukucity Progressive Union (EPU) join in rejoicing with CP Sunday Olukayode on his well-deserved achievements.
