How Private Jet Crash-Landed In Ibadan, Recorded No Casualty

IBADAN, Oyo State – A private jet being operated by Mattini Air with registration number N580KR and CL60 from Abuja overshut the runway this around 10.55am on Friday, January 26, 2024, at the Ibadan Airport.

According to investigation, the incident occurred due to a break failure, and the airplane over shut the runway 22 and eventually halted at a distance of 170m from end of the runway 04 and 60m from the threshold.

The aircraft which had 15 persons onboard, comprising 12 passengers and 3 crew members recorded no casualty.

All onboard were successfully evacuated by the FAAN Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting Service and other relevant officers.

This incident is coming barely two months after similar incident occurred at the same Ibadan Airport, involving a chartered aircraft, HS 125, belonging to Flint Aero at about 08:21pm when the pilot was approaching to land.
