ILARO=YEWA, OGUN STATE – Evangelist Afolabi Popoola, has urged Nigerians to reflect on the inevitability of death for all living beings, emphasizing that each person has their appointed time on earth.
Speaking at the Songs of Service for the late Chief Julius Olubisi Akinola, Baale of Ijado in Yewa South Local Government of Ogun State, Popoola stressed the importance of utilizing time wisely and living a purposeful life, underscoring that everything on Earth has its appointed season and will eventually come to an end.
He admonished individuals to be mindful of their actions, reminding them of the ultimate accountability for their lives.
Popoola emphasized the significance of following the path of Jesus Christ as the way to God.
Describing Chief Bisi Akinola as a devout Christian, Popoola praised his exemplary character and kind-hearted nature, expressing satisfaction that Akinola knew God before his death.
He prayed for the late leader’s soul to rest in perfect peace and extended condolences to Akinola’s family, urging sympathizers to emulate the late Baale’s virtues.
Pastor Femi Akinola, in expressing gratitude on behalf of the family, highlighted the loss not just to the Akinola family but to humanity. He praised Chief Akinola’s selfless nature and commitment to peace.
Mourners from various places, both nearby and distant, gathered at the late Chief Julius Olubisi Akinola’s residence on Dr. Tunji Otegbeye Street, Off Musa Street, Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State.
This assembly which was held on Thursday, December 14, 2013 celebrated the life and influential contributions of Chief Akinola, recognizing his role as a revered community leader and dedicated Surveyor. His affable demeanor and vibrant spirit profoundly touched all who knew him.
Chief Bisi Akinola, who passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023, at the age of 65, served as the chairman of Baales in Yewa South LG and held the position of Secretary General of Baales in Ogun State. He leaves behind his wife, children, grandchildren, and other relatives to cherish his memory.
