Ondo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Olubunmi Osadahun, experienced a distressing Sunday when she was physically assaulted and injured in Arigidi Akoko, in the Akoko North West Local Government Area of the state.
This altercation occurred amid a dispute over the allocation of subsidy relief materials.
In a widely circulated video clip that surfaced on the internet on Sunday, September 17, 2023, it is alleged that the Commissioner was struck on the head with a chair during a disagreement concerning the distribution of palliatives aimed at aiding vulnerable individuals grappling with the consequences of the Federal Government’s removal of fuel subsidy.
The distressing video portrayed the Commissioner with a visibly swollen head and blood streaming from the left side of her face, painting a grim picture of the altercation.
Also in the footage, there were individuals attempting to intervene and separate the two members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) involved in the fracas.
