Police Move To Investigate Mohbad’s Death, As Lagos State CP Takes Over Case

ABUJA – Against the backdrop of the allegations trailing death of the Nigerian hip-hop star, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, fondly called Mohbad, the Nigeria Police Force has said it will carry out comprehensive investigation into the death of “KPK” crooner.

According to a statement made available to journalists on Thursday, September 14, 2023 by the Force Public Relations Officer ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police has been ordered to unravel the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.

It would be recalled that Mohbad died in a mysterious way on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, and his death has continued to elicit sympathy and sorrow.

While Adejobi assured the public that updates will be provided as investigations unfold, the police extend its heartfelt condolences on the death of the rising star.

The statement reads, “Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family, friends, and fans of the late Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad, who recently passed away.

“We understand the concerns regarding his untimely demise.

“The Nigeria Police Force is committed to a comprehensive investigation into this matter, as the Lagos State Commissioner of Police has been tasked to unravel the circumstances surrounding his death. Rest assured, updates will be provided as investigations unfold.

“We encourage family members or close associates with valuable information to approach the Lagos State Commissioner of Police to assist in this process.

“In the meantime, we kindly request that individuals refrain from making statements or engaging in activities that could jeopardize the ongoing investigation.”
