After a three-month medical leave in Germany, Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has returned to Nigeria.
He arrived in Nigeria via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja and will be subsequently flown to Ibadan, where he will spend several weeks before resuming his full duties.
Governor Akeredolu had departed Nigeria for Germany on May 31, 2023, for medical treatment, during which he temporarily transferred his powers to his deputy, Lucky Ayedatiwa, through the House of Assembly.
His wife, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, also hinted at his return through a post on social media.
