Ogun Assembly Constitutes Standing Committees 

ABEOKUTA – The Ogun State House of Assembly has formed its Standing Committees for the 10th legislative session to manage its legislative affairs.

The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo, disclosed the committee assignments as follows: Transportation Committee: Chaired by Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, with Hon. Oluseun Adesanya as Vice-Chairman; Lands and Housing Committee: Led by Damilola Soneye as Chairman, and Lawal Samusideen as Vice-Chairman; Works and Infrastructure Committee: Headed by Adegoke Adeyanju, assisted by Lukman Atobatele; Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs: Led by Jemili Akingbade, with Dickson Awolaja as Vice-Chairman and Yusuf Amosun as Education, Science, and Technology Committee Chair, with Tella Babatunde as Deputy Chairman.

Others are Finance and Appropriation Committee: Chaired by Musefiu Lamidi, with Wahab Haruna as Vice-Chairman; House Committee on Health: Headed by Wahab Haruna, with Olanrewaju Bakare as Vice-Chairman; Commerce and Industry Committee: Chaired by Adebisi Oyedele, with Wasiu Ayodele as Vice-Chairman; Special Duties and Parastatals Committee: Under the leadership of Hon. Adeniran Ademola, with Adegoke Adeyanju as Vice-Chairman; Forestry Committee: Headed by Fatiu Salami, with Waliu Owode as Vice-Chairman and Youth and Sports Committee: Chaired by Wasiu Ayodele, with Damilare Bello as Deputy Chairman.

Also, Public Accounts and Anti-Corruption Committee: Led by Damilare Bello as Chairman, with Musefiu Lamidi as Vice-Chairman; Committee on Environment: Headed by Samsideen Lawal, with Owodunni Babajide as Vice-Chairman; Agriculture Committee: Chaired by Waliu Owode, with Odunuga Kaka as Vice-Chairman and Community Development Committee: Under the leadership of Dickson Awolaja, with Fatiu Salami as Vice-Chairman.

Others include Women Affairs and Social Development Committee: Chaired by Lukman Atobatele, with Bolanle Ajayi as Vice-Chairman; Information and Culture Committee: Led by Odunuga Kaka, with Adebisi Oyedele as Vice-Chairman; Committee on Water Resources, Energy, and Rural Development: Overseen by Owodunni Babajide, with Damilola Soneye as Deputy Chairman; Committee on Justice, Ethics, and Public Petitions: Chaired by Oluseun Adesanya, with Babatunde Tella as Vice-Chairman; Committee on Establishments and Public Service Matters: Headed by Babatunde Tella, with Yusuf Amosun as Deputy Chairman and House Services Committee: Chaired by Bolanle Ajayi, with Olanrewaju Bakare as Vice-Chairman.

These committees will be responsible for handling the various legislative tasks during the session.
