ILARO-YEWA – The Muslim faithful have been advised not to go back to the bad deeds they rejected during the Ramadan fasting.
Imam Tajudeen Mustapha-Adewunmi, the Chief Imam of Ilaro Central Mosque gave the advice in a sermon at the Ilaro Central Mosque praying ground, Oke-Ela, Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State, on the occasion of 2023 Eid-il-Fitri celebration.
The Islamic scholar noted that the month of Ramadan serves to cleanse Muslim faithful of all their sin and they’re are not expected to go back to all the bad attitude they’ve abstained from during the period.
He stated that the Ramadan period also cleanses the body system from sickness.
“Ramadan fast is also good for sound health and a period all believers see as opportunity to move closer to.
“My advice is that we shouldn’t go back to the bad attitude that we distanced ourselves from during the period.
Imam Mustapha-Adewunmi who is also the Secretary Ogun State League of Imam & Alfas who congratulated the Muslim faithful all over the world and prayed for them to witness many more celebrations.
He used the occasion to pray fervently for Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Olugbenle, the Olu of Ilaro & Paramount Ruler of Yewaland; Ilaro/Yewaland; Ogun State and Nigeria in general.
