ILARO-YEWA – The activities marking the 90th Birthday Anniversary of Otunba (Dr.) S.A.J. Ibikunle, BDS, FDSRCS, FMCDS, FWACS; Dental Surgeon; the Otunba of Ilaro, Asiwaju Onigbagbo of Ilaro, Diocesan Father of Yewa Anglican Communion and Osi Asiwaju Onigbagbo of Ogun State starts by 10.30am on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 with a Cultural Show at the Auditorium, Yewa Frontier Hotel, Ilaro-Ibese Road, Ilaro, Ogun State.
Also, a Public Lecture, titled: The Role of the Family in Stabilising Society and Individuals for Effective Human Development” by Prof. Stephen Afolami continues same day at Yewa Frontier Hotel, Ilaro-Ibese Road, Ilaro-Yewa by 12.30pm.
The celebration continues on Friday, May 27, 2022 with a Jumat Prayer at the Ilaro Central Mosque by 2.30pm.
Thanksgiving Service comes up on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Ona-Nla Quarters, Ilaro-Yewa while reception follows immediately at Yewa Frontier Hotel, Ilaro-Ibese Road, Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State.
Otunba (Dr.) S.A.J. Ibikunle, BDS, FDSRCS, FMCDS, FWACS; Dental Surgeon was born on May 24, 1935 at Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government of Ogun State.
He started his educational pursuit at the Christ Church School, Ilaro, Ogun State, (1939-47); then Igbobi College. Lagos (1948-52); Woolwich Polytechnic (now University of Greenwich) London, England (1957-58); Royal College of Surgeons of England (1967-68); University of Pittsburgh, USA (1978);
He was Government Dental Surgeon Grade II/Principal Dental Surgeon, defunct Western Nigeria (1963-71); Registrar, Bristol Dental Hospital, England (1967-68); Registrar, Oral Surgery Department, Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Scotland and the Maxillo Facial and Plastic Surgery Unit, Bangoar General Hospital, Scotland (1968-69); Consultant, Oral Surgeon, defunct Western Nigeria (1971-74);
He was a member, State Executive Committee of the Nigerian Medical Association; Western State (1971-76); Board, Faculty of Dental Surgery.
