Victoria Morenike AREMU: The Amazon Joins Golden Club

IBADAN – The only thing that comes to us in life without effort is growing older.

This reminds us of Mrs. Victoria Morenike AREMU, fondly called Iya Jumoke who is the illustrations and loving wife of Engr. Victor Aremu who clocks 60 years today – Wednesday, January 5, 2022.

The sayings that behind every successful man there is a woman is best describes the Amazon who truly stands behind this successful Electrical/Building Engineer like a solid Rock of Gibraltar, a true friend, a confidant, a God given wife and mother of  his children

According to Proverbs 31 verses 10 to 31 which describes a wife as noble character however confirms this Egba woman as a child of God, a good and dedicated wife, a sweet mother, a hardworking and industrious woman.

She is indeed a mother in a million, not only to her children, but to all living being that comes her way.

It would be recalled that about forty years ago, a young and newly qualified Engr. Bola Aremu from Egbe, Kogi State was swept off his feet by the beauty and hardworking of Mrs. Morenike Aremu, a young damsel from Orile Ilugun, Abeokuta in Ogun State.

Thereafter, God approved their relationship and the couple were solemnized in holy matrimony.

The union turned out to be a marriage made in heaven abd they were bountifully blessed with boys and girls, and currently with many grandchilren and still counting.

Spiritually, the couple have been  consistently worshipping at ECWA, Ode Oolo in Ibadan where they are both leaders and pillars in the House of God.

At a point more than twenty people that conprises Friends, family and associates were living under the roof of this blessed couple.

If not for an accommodating wife, would this be possible? And if she is not hardworking and industrious can she cope with the feeding of this large number of mouths daily, year in year out?

But there was no complaint from the Amazon woman who treated every household equally with her own children

This wonderful Egba woman, a true friend, a confidant, a God given wife and mother of  his children just keeps organising and managing her home to the delightful and envy of all.

Socially, the couple grew in the eminent circles of prominent people in the city of Ibadan.

Her husband, the young Engineer has served in many social organisations and clubs. They include as President of Rotary Club of Ibadan; Head of Table Tennis section of Ibadan Reacreation Club; Director of Works at Wednesday Club and Pioneer President and currently Chairman, Board of Trustees of Kontakts Klub of Nigeria among others.

When God blesses men, we grow amorous wings and allow our testosterone and financial muscle turn us to “wodiwodis” of Africa.

In all of his numerous escapades, and they were many, Bola Aremu always find in Iya Jumoke, a home to return to, a willing shoulder to rest upon and be comforted, and of course a supporting and understanding wife.
