ABUJA – Ogun State Indigenes’ Forum Abuja, (OSIFA) holds its 2021 Ogun Day Celebration between Friday, October 15 and Saturday 16, 2021 with the theme: “OSIFA @ 10: Our Root, Our Heritage and Role of the Diaspora”.
According to a release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l & online – www.startrendinternational.com by Alhaja Rasidat Lawal, PRO, of the association, Ogun Day Celebration is a biennial event being organised by members of the Ogun State Indigenes’ Forum (OSIFA) in Abuja.
Alhaja Lawal said that the celebration starts from 5pm on Friday, October 15, 2021, with Cultural Festival/Night at the Ground Floor, Ogun House, Plot 74, Ralph Sodeinde Street, Central Business District, Abuja.
The celebration, she noted continues on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at AGNL Wizzy’s Place, Events and Entertainment Complex, Plot 575D, Odumegu Ojukwu Way, Adjacent to Sharia Court of Appeal, Gudu District, Abuja. Starting from 10am.
“OSIFA, which promotes the interest, right, welfare, development and, progress of members and propagate the good name of our State – Ogun State has within ten years of its existence, impacted positively on the members and community at large.
“Against this backdrop, and considering ten years as a major milestone, we decided to organise a befitting celebration to bring together, our families, friends and associates through activities that will further enhance the modest achievements of the forum”, she posited.
Cream of the society expected at the event include the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, who is the Chief Host/Grand Patron of the association; Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, the Olu of Ilaro & Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Yewa South Local Government, Ogun State and Oba Taiwo Taiwo, Amororo II, Onipara of Ipara Remo, Remo North Local Government, Ogun State.
Others are Oba Ademola Oluseyi Olusanu, Toluwalade, Ilufemiloye Atunlute I, the Ajalaye of Ilugun South, Ijebu, Ilugun Alaro, Ijebu North East Local Government, Ogun State; Oba Abdul Gafar Olasunkanmi Gbadewolu Tijani, the Alawowo of Awowo, Owu Kingdom, Ogun State; Oba Obikoya Fatai Abidakun, the Oloni of Oni, Ogun Waterside Local Government and Oba Sunday Agbodo, the Liken of Iwopin Kingdom, Ogun Waterside Local Government.
