IMAM ADEWUNMI URGES MUSLIM FAITHFUL TO HAVE FEAR OF GOD, ADVISES YOUTHS NOT TO JOIN BAD GANG

ILARO-YEWA – A call has gone to Muslim faithful to always have the fear of God in whatever they do in life.

This advice was made by the Chief Imam of Ilaro Central Mosque, Imam (Sheik) Tajudeen Mustapha-Adewunmi during his sermon at the last Jumat prayer in the Ramadan period on Friday, May 7, 2021.

He noted that a true Muslim should have the fear of God and must not constitute a nuisance to his fellow human beings or involve in any activity that could course hardship to them.

Imam Adewunmi stated that “before Allah could accept our prayers, most especially during this Ramadan, we must be sincere to God and live in peace, and seek peace. We should not be a nuisance to the society or involve in the shedding of blood of our fellow human beings.

“The fruits of those who have the fear of God and believe in His doctrine shall be protected from the evil machinations; they shall be comfortable; they shall be eternally blessed; their sin shall be erased and forgiven and they shall be accorded special place in Aljannan.”

Imam Adewunmi said inasmuch he supported both Qur’anic and Western education for the Muslim children, he also advised them to learn a trade that will further guaranteed their success in life.

“My advise to our youths is for them to see themselves as the future and they should desist from any act that could truncate their peaceful journey in life. Whatever anybody gain illegally while growing up, there’s tendency of loosing them illegally in their old age.

The Islamic scholar however advice Muslim faithful to always seek help from God and desist from any act that would denied them of the grace of God in life and in the hereafter.

He further advised the congregation to monitor their children and wards from joining bad gang or involve in criminal activities that may denied them of the grace of God in their lives, adding that parents whose children veered from the path of righteousness shall also share from taste of the penalty.

The Muslim cleric also used the occasion to offer a special prayer for Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari and his team, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and his team, political leaders, traditional rulers, most especially, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, the Olu of Ilaro & Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, including other monarchs and chiefs within and outside Yewaland.

Imam Tajudeen Adewunmi however commended members of the Ilaro Central Mosque congregation for their steadfast in the quest to complete the ongoing mosque project. He prayed that God continued to bless, guide and protect them and their families.
