ILARO-YEWA – The Iyaloja of Ilaro-Yewa of Ogun State, Alhaja Risqat Bolanle Idowu was on Sunday, April 4, 2021 installed as Asiwaju Adinni of Ilaro Central Mosque.
The event which was graced by cream of the society from all walks of life took place at Morkaz of the , Ilaro Central Mosque, Itawaya, Opposite Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro Main Gate, Ilaro-Oja-Odan Road, Ilaro, headquarters of Ogun West.
Imam Tajudeen Mustapha-Adewunmi, who is the Chief Imam of Ilaro Central Mosque, Ilaro, led some Islamic scholars to directed the event, while Alhaji Idris Abdullah Ola-Afin Imo, Alhaji Lukman Adisa Adewunmi and Ustaz Soliudeen Babatunde Adewunmi Ogunremi {SOLAHA) compere the programme.
Alhaja Risqat Bolanle Idowu was born in 1954 into the Royal family of Oba Samuel Adekanmbi Tella Agneenuaran III.
Her father was Late Alhaji Hussein Olaleye and her mother, Alhaja Sidikat Amoke Adewale Olaleye, daughter to the Balogun Adinni of Ilaro Central Mosque.
She sttarted her educational pursuit at Christ Church Primary School, Ilaro (1960-1966) and later proceeded to Egbado (Yewa) College, Ilaro ()1967-1971.
Thereafter, Alhaja Risqat Idowu went to St’ Leos’ Teacher’ Training College, Abeokuta where she obtained her Grade II Teaching Certificatee (1975-1977).
She had stint as a teacher at various schools in Ogun Staate for a period of 20years before she voluntary resigned as an Assistant Head teacher in 1990.
Afeter retirement from teaching she ventured into businesss where she deals in buying and selling of colanuts and other products.
Because of her passion for business and bringing together women of likesmind, Alhaja Risqat Bolanle Idowu was appointed as the Iyaloja of Ilaro in 2003, the position she held till date.
Alhaja Risqat Bolanle Idowu is happily married to Alhaji Abdul-Rahman Idowu and their union is blessed with children.
