ABIODUN BAGS BEST PERFORMING GOVERNOR AWARD ON HEALTHCARE

ABEOKUTA – The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has bagged an Award of Excellence, as the best performing Governor on healthcare delivery in the country, for his effort to providing affordable and qualitative health care services to the people.

According to a release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l & online – www.startrendinternational.com by Dolapo Jinad, Press Officer, Ogun State Alternate Medicine Board, while speaking during the presentation of the award by the Association of Certified Professionals of Traditional and Complementary Alternate Medicine of Nigeria, in Abeokuta, Governor Abiodun appreciated the Association for recognising his administration’s achievement in the health sector.

Represented by the Chairman, Ogun State Alternate Medicine Board, Balogun Nurudeen Olaleye, the governor said the creation of the Board is to advance the science of natural traditional medicine practice in the State, with the vision to turn around the sub-sector for optimal performance, urging the practitioners to always follow laid down guidelines by the government.

Speaking, the State Coordinator of the Association, Dr. Stella Mofunaya said Governor Abiodun was considered for the award based on its assessment on all the South-West zone Governors’ performance on healthcare programmes.

She said, “the Award of Excellence presented to the Governor is to further encourage him to do more. We have noticed various developmental effort of the Governor in the health sector, especially in the creation of the Board and other monumental strides”.
